Companion Animal Parasite Council Adds New Board Member
Dr. Bill Stich joins the CAPC board of directors in 2010.
BEL AIR, Md. (August 2, 2010) – The Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC) announces that Roger William (Bill) Stich, PhD., of the University of Missouri has been named to the CAPC board of directors.
Dr. Stitch is associate professor in the department of veterinary pathobiology at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia. He has a research focus in tick-borne pathogens of importance to companion animals, livestock and humans and teaches veterinary courses in parasitology.
Mike Paul, DVM, executive director of CAPC, says the council is honored to have Dr. Stich as part of the organization. “We are pleased to add Dr. Stich to our esteemed board of directors. He brings a tremendous amount of research and teaching in the area of companion animal parasitology and zoonotic diseases to our organization, and he is a knowledgeable resource in his area of expertise.”
The Companion Animal Parasite Council board of directors is comprised of representatives of veterinary medicine, including animal health technicians, parasitologists, public health veterinarians, veterinary clinicians and representation from the CDC.

The Companion Animal Parasite Council (www.capcvet.org) is an independent not-for-profit foundation comprised of parasitologists, veterinarians, medical, public health and other professionals that provides information for the optimal control of internal and external parasites that threaten the health of pets and people.
